The SKF Vibracon chock is a universal adjustable steel chock that can be used instead of rigid steel chocks, shims or epoxy resin chocks. The unique design of Vibracon allow it can be reused by re-adjusted to align any machineries over the years of usage.
Universal refers to the fact that a SKF Vibracon chock can be used instead of rigid steel chocks, shims or epoxy resin chocks. Adjustable refers to the possibility of aligning and re-adjusting the chock at every re-alignment event. The name of the chock ”Vibracon” suggests that the elements can absorb vibrations like a vibration damper.
SKF Vibracon Stainless steel chocks (-SS series) In harsh conditions, where requirements cannot be met by carbon steel surface treated chocks, the stainless steel chocks will be the solution.
The SKF Vibracon adjustment tools are especially designed for safe height alteration of the SKF Vibracon chocks with comfort. Specific design results in a simple but perfect fit. Easy to use in difficult to reach locations. Tools are available for all different SKF Vibracon types and sizes.
4) Proof load is the tested load which can be applied on the SKF Vibracon chock at maximum height before plastic deformation will occur. Exceeding the proof load will permanently deform the element, rendering it no longer adjustable. This is a tested load for SKF Vibracon surface treated chocks only.
SKF Vibracon self-leveling and height adjustable chocks enable mounting of rotating machinery to base frames, steel foundations, or plates while eliminating Soft Foot (improper contact between a machine casing and the baseplate used to support it). Applications for rotating equipment range from ...
